Currently, this is second largest container shipping company in the world with 423 container vessels, serving 500 ports in 6 continents, has 350 local offices and 29,000 employees.
3. CMA-CGM Group
This is a French shipping line with a series of specialized subsidiaries providing container shipping services and ocean freight. At the moment, CMA has 455 vessels serving 420 ports all over the world. The most reputable subsidiaries of the company: Delmas, ANL, MacAndrews, OT Africa Line and Sudcargos Services.
4. Evergreen Line
This is the company has European and Asia combination. Evergreen Line is the common name for the group’s four shipping companies from Italy, UK, Taiwan and Hongkong. Currently, the group has the fleet of 190 vessels with the capacity of 1,058,378 TEU.
5. APL Shipping Line
APL (American President Lines Ltd) is the oldest shipping line in United States and has become one of the leading companies in container shipping. In 1997, Singaporean shipping company NOL acquired APL, made it being one of the most unbelievable deals by a Singaporean company. At the moment, APL provides services for more than 140 countries with wide network, including the multimodal transport activities which are actively supported by information technology and e-commerce.
